Deep Water Culture
Deep Water Culture (DWC) is a hydroponic growing method where plant roots are suspended directly in a nutrient-rich, oxygenated water solution. This allows plants to access nutrients and oxygen simultaneously, promoting healthy and rapid growth. A container holds the water and nutrients, while a support system keeps the plants' roots submerged without waterlogging. An air pump supplies oxygen to prevent root rot and ensure optimal health. DWC is efficient, suitable for various crops, and often used in controlled environments like indoor gardens or greenhouses to produce high yields with minimal soil.
