Decoration Day

Decoration Day, now known as Memorial Day, is a U.S. holiday dedicated to honoring and remembering military personnel who have died in service to the country. Observed on the last Monday of May, families and communities often hold ceremonies, visit cemeteries, and decorate the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers, flags, and ornaments.
