DECmate
The DECmate was a personal computer developed by Digital Equipment Corporation in the early 1980s. It was designed to serve both individual users and small businesses, combining the power of mini-computers with the user-friendly interface of personal computers. Built around the VAX/VMS or Intel-based systems, the DECmate featured a keyboard, monitor, and storage options, and could run popular software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. It was known for reliability and expandability, making it suitable for office tasks, although it was eventually phased out as personal computers became more affordable and widespread.
