Decline of Mughal Empire
The decline of the Mughal Empire happened over time due to internal weaknesses and external pressures. Internal issues like weak leadership, corruption, and high taxes led to unrest among nobles and common people. External factors such as invasions by neighboring forces, European colonial powers, and increased regional independence also weakened the empire’s control. Additionally, economic problems and military decline made it difficult to manage such a vast territory. By the early 18th century, these factors combined to erode the empire’s authority, leading to its eventual collapse and the rise of British colonial rule in India.
