Declaration of Independence (USA)

The Declaration of Independence, signed in 1776, is a document in which the thirteen American colonies formally announced their separation from Britain. It states that all people are equal and have rights like life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It also explains that governments should protect these rights, but if they become unjust, people have the right to change or remove them.
