Death Zone

The "Death Zone" refers to altitudes above 8,000 meters (26,247 feet) where oxygen levels are so low that the human body cannot acclimatize. In this environment, climbers experience severe oxygen deprivation, leading to rapid physical and mental decline, increased risk of altitude sickness, and a high likelihood of death. The lack of oxygen hampers vital bodily functions, making survival difficult beyond this point without supplemental oxygen and careful acclimatization. This zone is encountered on high mountains like Mount Everest, requiring climbers to be especially cautious and well-prepared.
