De Broglie-Bohm Theory
The De Broglie-Bohm theory, also known as pilot-wave theory, offers an alternative view of quantum mechanics. It suggests that particles have definite positions and paths, guided by a wave function—which acts like a pilot wave—directing their movement. Unlike the traditional view that particles behave probabilistically, this theory provides a deterministic framework, meaning if we knew the initial conditions, we could predict a particle’s future. It maintains the mathematical predictions of standard quantum mechanics but offers a clearer picture of how particles move and interact, blending wave and particle perspectives into a coherent, realist interpretation.
