DCC (Digital Command Control)
Digital Command Control (DCC) is a system that allows model train enthusiasts to operate multiple trains independently on the same track using digital signals. Instead of controlling trains with separate, traditional analog controllers, DCC transmits digital commands through the track wiring. Each locomotive equipped with a decoder responds to its specific address, enabling precise control over speed, direction, and lighting. This setup enhances realism and flexibility, allowing multiple trains to run simultaneously with independent operation, all managed from a centralized controller, which simplifies operation and expands control capabilities compared to conventional analog systems.
