Days of Rage
The Days of Rage was a series of violent protests and riots in Chicago in October 1969, organized by the radical left-wing group, the Weather Underground. They aimed to challenge the U.S. government’s policies, especially the Vietnam War, through direct action and demonstrations. The protests involved vandalism, clashes with police, and bombings, reflecting the intense frustration and revolutionary spirit of some activists at that time. Although intended to inspire change, the violence garnered widespread media attention and criticism, highlighting the tumultuous political climate of the late 1960s.
