DataCite

DataCite is an organization that creates and manages a system for assigning unique identifiers, called DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers), to research data and other digital outputs. This helps ensure that data is easily discoverable, citable, and linked to scholarly work, making it easier for researchers, publishers, and the public to access, share, and reference research data reliably over time. Essentially, DataCite promotes better data management and sharing practices within the academic and scientific communities.
