Data Subject Access Request

A Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) is a formal request made by an individual to an organization to access their personal data. Under privacy laws, individuals have the right to know what information is being held about them, how it’s used, and who it’s shared with. Organizations are required to respond to these requests within a set timeframe, usually informing the requester of the data they hold and providing copies if necessary. This process empowers individuals to understand and control their personal information.
