Data Flow Diagram

A Data Flow Diagram (DFD) is a visual tool used to show how information moves through a system. It maps out the process of data—from where it originates, how it flows through different steps or parts of the system, and where it ends up. Think of it as a map that highlights the movement and transformation of data, helping to understand, analyze, and improve complex processes. DFDs focus on the flow of information without getting into the detailed workings of the processes themselves, making them useful for designing and communicating system structures clearly.
