Data equity means ensuring fair and unbiased access to and use of data for all groups, especially those historically underserved or marginalized. The goal is to prevent unfair disadvantages caused by data gaps, biases, or unequal resources, ultimately promoting fairness, inclusivity, and social justice through data practices.
