Data Density
Data density refers to the amount of information or data stored within a specific physical or digital space. Higher data density means more data is packed into a given area, such as a hard drive or storage device, allowing for more information to be stored efficiently. For example, a high-density storage medium can hold thousands of books’ worth of data in a small device. Improving data density helps reduce physical size, increase storage capacity, and enhance retrieval speeds, making data management more efficient without necessarily expanding the hardware.
