Darlington Pair

A Darlington pair is an electronic device consisting of two transistors connected together to amplify a signal greatly. When a small input current enters the first transistor, it triggers a larger current that flows through the second transistor, resulting in a much stronger output signal. This configuration effectively increases the current gain, enabling small signals to control larger loads. It is often used in applications requiring high sensitivity or the ability to switch large currents with minimal input. Despite its benefits, it can have slower response times and higher overall voltage drops compared to using a single transistor.
