Daphne Oram was a pioneering British composer and electronic music innovator, best known for co-creating the Oramics Technique—an early method of sound synthesis using visual drawings on film to shape electronic sounds. She was a founding figure of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, where she developed new ways of creating and manipulating electronic music for broadcasting.
