DAP (Delivered at Place)
Delivered at Place (DAP) is a trade term from international shipping agreements. It means the seller is responsible for delivering the goods to a specified location, ready for unloading, but does not handle import customs clearance or pay import duties. The buyer takes responsibility from that point onward. Essentially, the seller manages shipping and transportation costs up to the agreed destination, making the delivery point convenient for the buyer to receive the goods without extra logistics. It streamlines international shipping by clearly defining each party’s responsibilities, ensuring smooth handover at the specified location.
