Dantians

Dantians are energy centers within the body in traditional Chinese and Taoist practices, similar to chakras in other traditions. They are points where vital energy (qi) is stored, cultivated, and balanced to promote health, vitality, and spiritual development. The most commonly referenced are three: the lower dan Tian (belly area), middle dan Tian (heart/chest), and upper dan Tian (head). The lower dan Tian is especially important, as it serves as the foundation for energy cultivation. Balancing these centers helps maintain physical well-being and supports inner harmony and spiritual growth.
