Danish-Norwegian War

The Danish-Norwegian War (1807-1814) was a conflict involving Denmark-Norway and Britain during the Napoleonic Wars. Britain attacked Denmark to prevent it from joining forces with Napoleon, as they feared this would threaten British interests. The war resulted in a blockade of Denmark and significant naval battles. In 1814, after Denmark's defeat, the Treaty of Kiel forced Denmark to cede Norway to Sweden, ending the union between Denmark and Norway. This war significantly impacted the balance of power in Scandinavia and reshaped the political landscape in the region.
