Danish National Liberal Party
The Danish National Liberal Party, also known as Venstre, is Denmarkâs oldest political party, founded in 1870. It traditionally advocates for individual freedom, free market economy, and limited government intervention. Although called "Venstre," meaning "left" in Danish, it is actually a center-right party focused on economic liberalism and supporting private enterprise. The party has historically promoted reforms, modernization, and policies aimed at economic growth, while also supporting social progress. It plays a significant role in Danish politics, often serving as a government partner or opposition, and represents a philosophy of liberal nationalism and individual rights within a parliamentary democracy.
