
Dalai Lama (14th Dalai Lama)
The 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, is the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and was recognized as the reincarnation of a previous Dalai Lama at age two. Born in 1935 in Tibet, he advocates for compassion, non-violence, and human rights. Following China’s occupation of Tibet, he fled to India in 1959, where he promotes peace, Tibetan culture, and religious harmony globally.
