Daewoo

Daewoo is a South Korean conglomerate that operated globally in various industries, including automobile manufacturing, shipbuilding, electronics, and construction. Founded in 1967, it became known for producing affordable vehicles and large-scale projects. Over time, Daewoo expanded rapidly but faced financial difficulties in the early 2000s. Its automobile division was acquired by General Motors in 2001 and rebranded as GM Korea. Today, the Daewoo brand continues to exist in some markets, particularly for automobiles, though much of its former business has been integrated into other companies.
