Da capo form
Da capo form is a musical structure that repeats a section of a piece, marked by the terms "Da capo" (meaning "from the head" in Italian), inviting performers to go back to the beginning and play the section again. Typically, a piece written in this form contains an initial section (A), followed by a contrasting section (B), and then a call to return to the start for the repeat. This form creates symmetry and balance in the composition, allowing for emphasis and variation when the A section is played again, often with added ornamentation or embellishments.
