D-bar method

The D-bar method is a mathematical technique used in imaging, particularly for reconstructing internal structures from boundary measurements, like in electrical impedance tomography. It involves solving a special type of equation called a “D-bar equation,” which relates the data collected on the surface to the internal properties. By processing this data through the D-bar equation, one can obtain an image of the inside of an object without physically cutting into it. This approach is valued for its ability to produce stable and accurate images even when the data is incomplete or noisy.
