Czechoslovak National Council
The Czechoslovak National Council was an organization formed in 1918 by Czech and Slovak expatriates, mainly in the United States, to support the independence of Czechoslovakia from Austria-Hungary. It coordinated efforts to promote national recognition, raise funds, and gather political support for the new country. Acting as a bridge between Czechs, Slovaks, and the international community, the council played a key role in fostering national identity and influencing diplomatic recognition during and after World War I.
