Cytarabine liposome (DepoCyt)

Cytarabine liposome (DepoCyt) is a medication used to treat certain types of cancers affecting the brain and spinal cord, known as lymphomatous meningitis. It contains a chemotherapy drug called cytarabine enclosed in tiny fat particles called liposomes, which help deliver the drug slowly and directly to the affected areas. This targeted delivery allows for effective treatment with fewer side effects and less frequent dosing. Administered via injection into the spinal fluid, DepoCyt works by destroying cancer cells in the central nervous system, helping to control the disease.
