Cyrenaics

The Cyrenaics were an ancient Greek philosophy group that believed pleasure is the highest good and the key to a happy life. They argued that immediate, physical pleasures—like food, laughter, and comfort—are most valuable, but emphasized enjoying life responsibly and avoiding pain. They thought that since life is uncertain, pursuing pleasures in the present is the best way to achieve happiness. Essentially, they prioritized sensory enjoyment and claimed that living fully in the moment leads to a fulfilling existence.
