Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (the Welsh Language Society) is a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the use of the Welsh language. Founded in 1962, it campaigns for language rights, increased Welsh language education, and equal status for Welsh in public life. The society organizes protests, advocacy, and community projects to encourage Welsh speakers and support language revitalization efforts across Wales.
