Cyclocross
Cyclocross is a cycling sport where riders navigate a short, often unpredictable course that combines pavement, dirt, grass, mud, and obstacles. Typically held in fall and winter, races last around 30–60 minutes, requiring riders to quickly dismount, carry their bike over barriers or difficult terrain, then remount and continue. It emphasizes bike handling skills, power, and endurance, often in challenging weather conditions. Cyclocross bikes look similar to road bikes but have wider tires with knobby tread for better grip and modified brakes for better control. The sport blends riding and sometimes running, demanding agility and versatility from participants.
