CV-16

CV-16, also known as the USS Yorktown (CV-16), was an Essex-class aircraft carrier used by the U.S. Navy during and after World War II. It was designed to carry and launch airplanes, providing air support and reconnaissance during naval operations. The ship could hold over 90 aircraft and was equipped with powerful weapons for defense. CV-16 participated in key battles in the Pacific Theater, helping to project military power across vast ocean areas. It served through the 1940s and 1950s before being decommissioned and eventually scrapped in the 1970s.
