Cutter (ship)
A cutter is a type of small to medium-sized ship used primarily by navies, coast guards, and customs agencies. Designed for patrol, surveillance, search and rescue, or law enforcement, cutters are fast, maneuverable, and equipped with specialized tools and equipment to perform their missions. They often have a sturdy build to operate in rough seas and can stay at sea for extended periods. Unlike larger ships or boats, cutters strike a balance between size and agility, enabling them to navigate coastal areas, conduct inspections, and respond quickly to emergencies.
