Customs Cooperation Council

The Customs Cooperation Council is an international organization established in 1953 to promote cooperation among countries on customs matters, such as trade regulations, clearance procedures, and combating illegal activities like smuggling. Its goal is to facilitate smooth international trade by standardizing customs practices, sharing information, and helping countries work together efficiently. In 1994, it was renamed the World Customs Organization (WCO), serving as a global forum for customs authorities to collaborate and improve border management while supporting free and secure trade.
