Custody Rights

Custody rights refer to the legal authority granted to parents or guardians over the care and upbringing of a child. These rights determine where the child lives and which parent makes decisions about their education, health, and welfare. Custody can be physical (where the child lives) or legal (who makes important decisions). Custody arrangements can be joint, where both parents share responsibilities, or sole, where one parent has full authority. Courts typically decide custody based on the child’s best interests, considering factors like the parents' situations, the child's needs, and their relationship with each parent.
