Curveball

A curveball is a type of pitch in baseball designed to deceive the batter. When thrown, the pitcher imparts a spin on the ball, causing it to curve or break as it approaches the batter. This movement makes it harder to hit accurately, as the ball’s path is unpredictable compared to a straight pitch. The key is the wrist and finger action during the throw, which creates the spin and resulting sideways or downward movement. Pitchers use curveballs to disrupt the batter’s timing and increase their chances of getting an out.
