Cumorah

Cumorah is a hill in New York significant to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is believed by church members to be the site of a historic, large-scale ancient battle and the final resting place of thousands of ancient Nephite records, which later became part of the Book of Mormon. The hill is also the location where the prophet Moroni reportedly deposited these gold plates for future discovery. Cumorah is considered a sacred site and plays a central role in LDS history and teachings about the origins of the Book of Mormon.
