Cumann na nGael

Cumann na nGaedheal was a political party in Ireland formed in 1923, stemming from the pro-Treaty side of the Irish Civil War. It aimed to establish stable governance and enforce the terms of the Anglo-Irish Treaty that created the Irish Free State, a self-governing dominion within the British Commonwealth. The party focused on law, order, economic development, and national stability. In 1933, it evolved into Fine Gael, which remains one of Ireland’s major political parties today.
