Cumann na nGaedheal

Cumann na nGaedheal was a political party in Ireland, founded in 1923 by leaders of the pro-Treaty side after Ireland's independence from Britain. It focused on establishing a stable government and building the new Irish state, emphasizing law, order, and economic development. The party governed Ireland from 1922 until 1933, promoting constitutional democracy and rebuilding the nation's institutions post-independence. In 1933, it merged with other groups to form Fine Gael, which remains one of Ireland’s main political parties today.
