Cultural cannibalism

Cultural cannibalism refers to the process where societies absorb or incorporate elements from other cultures, much like "consuming" their customs, traditions, or ideas. Instead of physical cannibalism, it signifies the idea of one culture integrating aspects of another, often through adaptation, borrowing, or reinterpretation. This can happen through trade, colonization, or globalization, leading to the blending or transformation of cultural identities. Essentially, it describes the way cultural features from different groups can be "absorbed" into a society, shaping its evolution without actual physical harm.
