CTD (conductivity, temperature, depth) sensors

CTD sensors are instruments used by scientists to measure key properties of water in oceans and lakes. "Conductivity" indicates how well water can carry an electric current, which helps determine saltiness (salinity). "Temperature" measures how warm or cold the water is. "Depth" uses pressure to find out how deep the sensor is underwater. Together, these measurements provide valuable information about water conditions, helping us understand ocean currents, climate change, and marine ecosystems. CTD sensors are often attached to instruments that descend into the water, collecting data at various depths for research and monitoring.
