CT scans (Computed Tomography)

A CT scan, or computed tomography scan, is an imaging technique that uses X-rays and computer processing to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. Unlike regular X-rays, which show flat images, CT scans provide multiple slices that reveal detailed structures of bones, organs, and tissues, helping doctors diagnose medical conditions more accurately. The process involves lying on a table that slides into a doughnut-shaped scanner, which rotates around you to capture images from different angles. These images can then be assembled by a computer to produce a comprehensive picture of the area being examined.
