CT Myelography

CT myelography is a diagnostic imaging procedure that helps doctors examine the spinal cord, nerve roots, and surrounding structures. A special dye, or contrast material, is injected into the spinal canal to make these areas visible. Afterward, a CT scan combines multiple X-ray images to create detailed cross-sectional pictures. This procedure is useful for detecting herniated discs, tumors, injuries, or abnormalities in the spine. While it involves an injection and exposure to radiation, it offers valuable insights when MRI results are inconclusive or cannot be performed.
