CSKAD

CSKAD stands for Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria with Angioedema and Dermatographism. It is a condition where the immune system causes frequent, unpredictable hives and swelling (angioedema) on the skin without an obvious trigger. Dermatographism means that light scratching or pressure can cause raised, red lines or welts. The "chronic" aspect indicates these symptoms last for more than six weeks. CSKAD result from immune system dysfunction, leading to skin inflammation and swelling, which can be uncomfortable and affect daily life. Managing CSKAD typically involves medications to control symptoms and reduce inflammation.
