CSC

CSC stands for Card Security Code, also known as CVV or CVC, which is a three- or four-digit number found on credit and debit cards. It provides an additional layer of security during online or phone transactions by verifying that the cardholder physically has the card. When making purchases, businesses often ask for this code to help confirm the identity of the cardholder and reduce fraud, since the CSC isn’t stored in the magnetic stripe or chip, making it harder for criminals to misuse stolen card details.
