Crossmodal perception
Crossmodal perception refers to the brain's ability to combine and interpret information from different senses simultaneously—such as sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell—to create a unified experience. For example, when you see a buzzing bee and hear its sound, your brain links these inputs to recognize it as the same insect. This integration helps us better understand and respond to our environment, making our perceptions more accurate and rich by drawing on multiple sensory clues at once.
