Critical Limb Ischemia

Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) is a severe condition where circulation to the legs and feet is critically reduced due to blocked or narrowed arteries. This poor blood flow causes pain, especially at rest, and can lead to skin wounds or ulcers that don’t heal. If untreated, it may result in tissue death or the need for amputation. CLI typically occurs in people with advanced peripheral artery disease and requires prompt medical attention to restore blood flow, manage symptoms, and prevent serious complications.
