Criminal Trials

A criminal trial is a legal process used to determine if a person accused of a crime is guilty or innocent. It involves several key participants: the prosecution, representing the government; the defense, representing the accused; and a judge, who ensures the trial follows legal procedures. Evidence is presented, witnesses may testify, and both sides argue their case. A jury (or sometimes just a judge) then deliberates and reaches a verdict. If found guilty, the accused may face penalties such as fines or imprisonment; if not, they are acquitted and released. The trial upholds the rights of both the accused and society.
