A criminal profiler is a trained specialist who analyzes evidence from crime scenes, along with details about victims and the crime itself, to develop a psychological or behavioral profile of the perpetrator. Their goal is to understand the suspect’s possible motives, personality traits, and habits, which can help law enforcement narrow down suspects, anticipate future actions, and improve investigative strategies.
