Cri du Chat syndrome

Cri du Chat syndrome is a rare genetic disorder caused by a missing piece of chromosome 5. This deletion affects physical development and intellectual growth. Babies often have a distinctive high-pitched cry resembling a cat, breathing and feeding difficulties, and a smaller head and jaw. They may also experience delayed development, learning challenges, and certain physical features like a low-set ears. The severity varies among individuals.
