Crew-1
Crew-1 is NASA's first operational mission under the Commercial Crew Program, launched in November 2020. It used SpaceX’s Crew Dragon spacecraft to carry four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission's goal was to demonstrate safe, reliable crew transportation to and from the ISS, supporting ongoing research and international collaboration. After about six months in orbit, the crew returned safely to Earth. Crew-1 marked a significant step toward sustainable, reusable space travel by commercial partners, reducing costs and increasing access to low Earth orbit for scientific and exploratory missions.
