Creek (Muscogee)
The Creek, or Muscogee, are a Native American people originally from the southeastern United States, particularly what is now Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Oklahoma. They have a rich cultural heritage with distinct language, social structure, and traditions. Historically, they formed a powerful confederation of tribes and practiced farming, hunting, and fishing. Today, the Muscogee Creek Nation is a federally recognized tribe based in Oklahoma, preserving their language, cultural practices, and sovereignty. They continue to contribute to their communities through cultural revitalization and advocating for Native rights.
